Shipping Policy
Free and Flat Rate Shipping is available on qualifying orders
- FREE Ground shipping on all orders over $700 for all 50 States
- $15 FLAT RATE Ground shipping on orders from $500.00 to $699.99 within the 48 Contiguous States
- Under $500.00 – No Freight Allowance
- Exclusions from Free Freight
- Items may be excluded due to physical size or weight, total order weight or quantity to be shipped
- Orders over 300 lbs
Free ground freight is only available if the shipment goes by our selected carrier. Due to the physical size, weight, or concern for damage to items shipped in standard packaging, Hydro Quip reserves the right to ship the order by common carrier without free freight. If eligible for Free Freight and you choose not to take advantage of the free ground freight option, the regular shipping program charges will apply.
All shipments are F.O.B. from our location.
Shipment delivery may be late due to circumstances beyond the carrier's control, including inclement weather, no access to delivery location, and so on. In these cases, there will be no refund on freight costs by the carrier, or by Hydro Quip. Service and handling fees will not be refundable in any case.
WAIVERS
Insurance Waiver
We recommend insuring your shipment against loss or damage during transit. Carriers automatically provide insurance coverage up to $100 in value.
If your shipment exceeds this value and is lost or damaged, the carrier will only reimburse a maximum of $100, unless purchasing additional insurance.
By declining the insurance option, you agree to the following: You accept full responsibility for any damage or loss during shipping and that you will accept whatever the carrier reimburses
Signature Waiver
To reduce the risk of theft, we recommend requiring a signature upon delivery. Incidents of package theft (“porch piracy”) are increasing. While many carriers now provide photo proof of delivery, this does not guarantee the security of your package.
By declining the Signature Required option, you agree to the following:
• You accept full responsibility if the package is stolen after delivery.
• You understand that insurance coverage does not include stolen packages.
Alternative Option: You may request delivery to a local carrier drop-off point for added security.
Residential/Rural Delivery Charges
Carriers apply an additional fee for deliveries to residential (non-commercial) addresses. This fee cannot be waived.
Alternative Option: You may request delivery to a local carrier drop-off point to avoid this charge.
Lift Gate or Forklift Charges
For palletized or large shipments, carriers require the use of a lift gate or forklift for delivery and charge an additional fee to provide this service. All carrier fees are non-negotiable.
Alternative Option: You may request delivery to a commercial address equipped with a forklift, or to have the pallet held for pickup at the nearest hub, to avoid this charge.
Shortages or Missing Parts
If you feel a shortage has occurred within your order, you must contact us within five (5) business days of receipt.
Hydro Quip is not responsible for errors or omissions at the point of order
Drop Shipments:
• Missing parts must be reported within 5 days of the shipment’s arrival.
• Customers must provide all required photos to document the issue.
Stocking Shipments:
Exception: In the case of multi-package distribution orders, customers are not obligated to open and review each individual item at the time of delivery.
• The 5-day reporting requirement applies once the distributor’s customer receives the product.
• Customers must still provide all required photos when submitting a claim.
Damaged or Refused Shipments
Please inspect your merchandise upon receipt. We require damages be reported within five (5) days of receipt of the merchandise. Contact our customer service department for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
Please provide the following photos when submitting a damage claim:
• Photo of the Hydro-Quip carton showing the overall condition.
• Photo of the shipping label to verify weight and tracking information.
• Photo of the carton product code label to identify the work order number and other product details.
Backordered Items
Occasionally, some items may be backordered. In the event your order does not ship complete, Hydro Quip will notify you of the backordered item(s) and expected ship dates (or of a backorder cancellation if necessary). Freight on B/O’s is the responsibility of the customer, unless the original order qualified for free freight. Hydro Quip may cancel backorders at our discretion.
If an item in your order is backordered, it may affect the free shipping policy. For example, if your order total is $800 and one of the items priced at $300 is backordered and cannot ship immediately, the free shipping would not apply to the remaining items. In summary, if you choose to have your order partially shipped with backordered items shipping separately, you will be responsible for the shipping costs of both shipments. If any of those partial shipments are over the $500 or $700 threshold, the same free freight policy applies to that partial shipment. For example, if your order total is $2,000 and one of the items priced at $800 cannot ship immediately, you would not pay shipping for the first $1,200 partial order, and you would not pay shipping for the second $800 partial order.
